2010 Isolated Preamplifier:

- “…the 2010 is fabulously built and provides the luxurious accommodations wellheeled audiophiles demand and deserve when they spend this much on a preamplifier. If I could afford it, I%&&&%d buy it and be done with it. Though I haven%&&&%t had the experience some have had with electronics priced at this exalted level, I%&&&%ve heard plenty, and I%&&&%ve heard nothing better than what this provided. Its dynamic performance was cathedral-like. From the most subtle shifts to the most explosive, it followed the musical gradations like a race car. It was open, transparent, endlessly resolving harmonically, and free of grain, glare, or any other audible or fatigue-inducing detritus.”

- Precisely one attitude is the driving force behind the 2010 Isolated Balanced Preamplifier: the absolute conviction to remain true to
ourselves. No middle roads. No compromises. No nonsense. You can tell a good concept from the fact that it isn’t just short-term. It appears we’ve done something right because the basic concept of the 2010 has lost none of its appeal in over a decade of production.

- High performance, incomparable construction, unshakeable reliability, pure listening pleasure – these values are reflected in every detail.

- The volume control, generally regarded as the clearest and most accurate stepped audio attenuator in the world, has eventually trickled down to every other product with volume adjustment in the Boulder lineup. The version in the 2010 can be programmed for 0.1 or 0.5 dB steps for absolute mastery of output levels.

- Six balanced inputs can be tailored to the needs of the source component or the preferences of the user. Each input can have polarity, gain, starting volume, input name, Theater Mode, balance and other parameters set.

- Located centrally in the front panel is Boulder’s distinctive volume knob. Cut from solid stainless steel and polished in a painstaking nine-step process, the volume knob mimics the profile and finish of the cut mirror glass display windows. No one else does chassis work quite like Boulder. Even the remote control is machined, engraved and metal.

- Three individual power supplies reside in an entirely separate enclosure to isolate noise and distortion that much further away from your music. In addition, the left and right channels are each encased in their own
enclosure, eliminating crosstalk and interference.

- Every feature is executed to an unheard of degree in the pursuit of a single goal: the deepest and most accurate recreation of music and its creators in your home. A preamp that stirs emotions. Because it doesn’t just reflect the passion of our engineers, but over a quarter century of Boulder history.
